Rosie Cooney elected as president of Wicklow Town and District Chamber of Commerce

 

Wicklow businesswoman Rosie Cooney has been elected as 2020 President of Wicklow Town and District Chamber of Commerce at the Chamber’s AGM which was held on Thursday 20th February.

Rosie who hails originally from Waterford has been living in Wicklow for the last 30 years .

She is the Manager of the AIB in Wicklow for the last 2 years but previously worked there for seven years.  As a member of the Chamber of Commerce over the past couple of years, Rosie is a long-standing enabler of local business initiatives and events. 

She is a strong believer in building relationship with the local community and involving newgenerations in the future of the community.

At Tuesdays AGM, Rosie told Chamber members at the meeting that she wish to continue Robin’s legacy in re energizing the Chamber so that it can be inclusive, progressive, and relevant and support its members and the wider community.

She thanked all who had offered their support and paid tribute to outgoing president, Robin Bradley, and the Chamber Council for all their hard work and progress made over the past year.
